Clay0:32The story
My artistic path is deeply rooted in a childhood attraction to the tactility of clay—from an early age, I always preferred creating with clay over playing with traditional toys. Even though I came from a family of engineers and doctors, my mother heavily fostered my creative values and guided me toward formal fine art training, where I chose to specialize in ceramics. By setting up my own private Vashi studio while I was still a student, I gained valuable extra years of hands-on practice, seamlessly blending my artistic vision with the technical and scientific sides of ceramic craftsmanship.
Today, I focus primarily on ambitious, large-scale sculptural installations rather than commercial products. My monumental works include a staggering seven-story tall single artwork, alongside 10-foot and 30-foot suspended installations that introduce complex structural and engineering challenges. To realize these intricate pieces, I rely on extensive experimentation, trials, and expert consultations. Alongside my private sculptural practice, my community studio in Pali Hill operates with the rigorous methodology of traditional art schools, driven by my firm belief that art is for everyone and should be made genuinely accessible to all.
