Paper0:31The story
My journey as a paper artist began after I transitioned from my career as an IT software engineer during the COVID-19 pandemic. Due to health challenges, I decided to step away from the tech industry and pursue art full-time. What started as a hobby, inspired by creations I discovered on Pinterest, gradually evolved into a true passion. Through self-learning, I developed my skills in intricate paper quilling and dimensional paper art.
Over the years, I have created several memorable pieces, including a large "Rising Phoenix" artwork that was shipped to the United States, along with unique multi-frame compositions that have challenged and expanded my creativity.
For commissioned projects, I enjoy collaborating closely with my clients to develop themes that reflect their vision, while my personal projects are driven by my own inspiration and ideas. Every artwork begins with detailed sketches and thoughtful colour planning before I start bringing it to life.
I enjoy working with textured matte papers, especially Fabriano, which I source from Sona Paper, and I use tools from Craftgully that have become an important part of my creative process.
Today, I am focused on expanding my artistic journey even further by developing online quilling tutorials with Tag Mango. I am also looking forward to moving into my new home, where I will finally have a dedicated studio space to continue creating and exploring new possibilities in paper art.
